Schedule an Event OnlineThe ACRI offers a unique setting for special events and programs with ongoing exhibitions and a convenient location within the downtown Albany historic district, near Albany James H. Gray, Sr. Civic Center and Albany State University.


In the ACRI, we offer extensive exhibition galleries, an auditorium/multipurpose room, a beautiful outdoor Freedom Garden, and a grand lobby. The Old Mt. Zion Church is home to historically preserved pine and heart pine pews, flooring and dramatic casings and fixtures, partnered with the dynamic light-filled stained glass windows. The church is available to the public for private use.


ACRI Multipurpose Room (1,141 sq. ft.)
Accommodations vary according to setting:
• Classroom Style: 120 seated (max)
• Board Room Style (conference phone use included, conference dial-up number is not included)
• Auditorium: 120 seated
• Reception Style: 125 standing
• Banquet Style: 120 seated (max)


ACRI Exhibition Gallery (3,011 sq. ft.)
Accommodates: 350 standing


ACRI Freedom Garden and Porch (2,183 sq. ft.)
Accommodates:  220 standing, 100 seated


ACRI Grand Lobby: (1,944 sq. ft.)
Accommodates: 195 standing, 120 seated


Old Mt. Zion Church (4,186 sq. ft.)
Accommodates: 200 seated


These spaces are ideal for corporate events, seminars, organizational meetings, weddings and a host of other events. The Old Mt. Zion Church features a 4x8 pulpit/stage, a state-of-the-art projection screen and audio/visual equipment. The church can be adapted to suit most event types from religious services to formal events and has the capacity to seat up to 200 people. Fourteen new pews will be added in 2010, at which point seating capacity will expand to 350.
